“The
818 Session” focuses on a dance ritual that occurs every Wednesday
at midnight in a parking lot in North Hollywood. Gathering around an open
door of a parked car, the krumpers take turns vibing off the music, dancing
one by one in the center, encouraging each other from the sidelines. Miss
Prissy, Lil’ C and Mijo from the film Rize show up; all founders
of krump. Although the street dance originated in South Los Angeles in
2002, ten years later it is now performed here each week, rain or shine,
with five or 50 people. Welcome to NoHo’s 818 Session.

INSPRIATION

We
follow the stories of five men and woman - each of whom has had their
lives affected by breast cancer - as they climb a 13,000-foot mountain.
The climbers include an oncologist who decided to specialize in breast
cancer after witnessing the amazing strength of her patients; and a father-daughter
team who have lost a family member to breast cancer and climb in her memory.
Together, these climbers head up Mount Borah in Idaho, as part of Expedition
Inspiration, a non-profit organization that takes breast cancer survivors
up mountains after their treatment. The climbs are a way for the survivors
to reclaim their bodies from the deadly disease, and a way for family
members to honor the memory of those they have lost to breast cancer.
We interweave the story of this Mount Borah climb with the life story
of Laura Evans - the woman who founded Expedition Inspiration.

Ben Popik brings together five comedy writers, and surprises them with
a challenge: to each write fifteen pages of a movie, having read only
the previous five pages of the script. They agree with one stipulation:
if they write the movie, he has to make it. It's a comedy, a love story,
a psycho-sexual thriller, and a supernatural adventure all in one. Meanwhile,
documentary footage of the writing process provides an inside-look into
the often-hilarious creative process, as well as the group dynamics
that make collaboration between friends difficult.

happens when you try and leave the porn business and attempt to lead a
normal life? Exxxit: Life After Porn examines the lives and careers of
some of the biggest names in the history of the adult entertainment industry,
and what happened to them when they tried to just that. They hailed from
the rural South, steel towns, and the San Fernando Valley. They were artists,
baseball players, child prodigies, and even Ivy Leaguers. Now they're
TV stars, bounty hunters, writers, and social activists. What happened
in between? And now that they've moved on, can they really live a normal
life after porn?
